Ysgol Alexandra

TG Williams

TG Williams Builders Ltd delivered a new single‑storey After School Facility for Wrexham County Borough Council within the grounds of Ysgol Alexandra. Completed under a JCT Minor Works Building Contract, the £400K project provides a modern, purpose‑built space designed to enhance wraparound childcare provision for the local community.

The new building features a raft foundation, high‑quality brick and tile construction, and energy‑efficient aluminium windows and doors. Internally, it offers a bright, robust environment including a flexible activity room, kitchen/servery, accessible WC facilities, storage areas, and full mechanical and electrical installations. Externally, works included a secure play area, new drainage, surfacing, kerbs, edgings, and soft landscaping.

Delivered within a live school environment, the project required careful planning, safeguarding measures and close coordination to minimise disruption. The result is a durable, efficient and welcoming facility that supports pupil wellbeing and long‑term community needs.

The scheme also contributes to the Well‑being of Future Generations (Wales) Act by promoting a healthier, more equal and more resilient Wales. It supports Welsh‑medium childcare, uses long‑life materials to reduce environmental impact, and strengthens local employment and skills.

This project reflects TG Williams Builders Ltd’s commitment to building high‑quality educational spaces and supporting North Wales communities.
