Building North Wales Communities Together

Tan y Fron – Galliford Try

Introduction

Working in partnership with Pennaf Housing Association, Galliford Try put our ‘Recycle the local £’ initiative into practice.

Design and construction of a 6,388 sqm Extra Care scheme providing 46 one and two bedroom apartments in traditional masonry construction together with associated demolitions, external works, drainage and associated external access works.

The state of the art facilities are clad to look like beach huts with varying colours to complement their location and will include a restaurant and beauty salon in addition to a number of communal dining and lounge areas.

The roof construction is quite complex and will appear to be a number of smaller buildings interconnected underneath. The project includes the demolition of a single storey masonry building which previously was part of Conwy Council social services dept and the retention and full refurbishment of the Ty Llewelyn Community Centre
